DogeOS is a security-focused scaling solution for Dogecoin, using innovations in scaling design and zero knowledge proofs to build a new layer on Dogecoin. The DogeOS network is more accessible, more responsive and can support more users at once than Dogecoin alone. If you’ve ever used or developed an application on Ethereum, you’ll be right at home on DogeOS.

What is DogeOS building?#

DogeOS is building the technology to scale Dogecoin.

While Dogecoin is the best blockchain and ecosystem to ever exist, its design limits how you can use your DOGE. DogeOS is an app layer enabling adoption for the next wave of users and developers, by bringing the UX and programmability of Ethereum to Dogecoin.

Leveraging cutting-edge research in zero knowledge (“zk”) proofs, DogeOS is building an Application Layer rollup network on Dogecoin. DogeOS runs on an EVM-compatible zkVM: the smart contracts, wallets, and developer tools that work on Ethereum work on DogeOS, and the zkVM creates cryptographic “proofs” that transactions on the network are valid.

This level of security and scalability for Dogecoin is only possible with recent breakthroughs in zero knowledge cryptography, blockchain protocol design, and hardware acceleration.

Can I use DogeOS today?#

DogeOS testnet is live! Although we have a comprehensive guide, if you’re familiar with using Ethereum, you can get started in minutes:

• Visit our Bridge  and connect your wallet
• Send DOGE from Dogecoin testnet to DogeOS (or use a DogeOS Chikyū Testnet faucet)

Where is DogeOS headed?#
